U.S. Circulated Silver Coins Silver Melt Value

Silver coin values are based on the closing, end of day price at the NYMEX.  All of the coins listed below were in standard circulation until silver was removed from all coinage in 1965 and finally 1970 (40% silver half-dollars). The values below only reflect the silver melt value, not rarity or numismatic value (many times, the numismatic value of a coin can be 10,000 times greater than the actual melt value). This table should only be used as a guide for buying and selling silver coins.
